SUCCESS Is Not A Destination

Success is not a destination or some position to be attained.

Success Path

The road to success is always under construction

Success is “doing”. It is the action of achievement along the path of your choice. Success is similar to happiness because the term describes a state that is different for every individual. Success is not a strict definable status, rather it is subjective and encompasses many different perspectives.

Further, success is attained. If you haven’t improved your position. Being born into a wealthy family and doing nothing more than living off inherited wealth, creating nothing further or greater of your own is not considered success.

Be Your Best

Jim Rohn asks, “If you could do better, should you?” The answer to that question is YES!

It is in the highest of our nature as humans to strive to be better. We are happiest when we are striving, and making progress to achieve something greater. There is joy in attaining some goal. The greater joy is in the struggle to achieve.

The first success is just to be able to survive as an adult, and be able to provide for yourself and your loved ones. The next level of success is to not merely survive, but to flourish.

Your ability to reach greater success should be a benefit to many, your family, your community, your friends and colleagues.

Success Is Doing

Success comes from the disciplined and consistent effort to improve your life, your skills, your income, your health etc.
Happiness comes from the effort that moves you towards accomplishing these improvements.
Success and happiness are thus intertwined, and created through the work performed and the tasks completed enroute to achieving a goal.
The happiness is in the work toward success.

Success is not a place, a destination you reach. People begin wanting success, thinking that success will provide them wealth, a position of power and happiness. The attainment of wealth and power does not necessarily equate to being happier.

Success is not measured by the wealth or greatness you attain, but how far you traveled to get there. A million dollars in the bank may be considered a success, yet a self-made millionaire is a greater success than someone who inherited the money

Be All You Can Be

Making strides to improve is human nature. We are programmed to become more; to be all we can be. Our success and happiness is greatest when we are doing the work toward that end.

The paradox is, there is no “end”. It is a perpetual process of ongoing improvement.

It’s important that you are not just gong through life like an accident.
You need to choose your path to your future and work toward your chosen goals with commitment and consistency.

Do the best you can, with whatever you have.
Strive to attain the best life, you can attain reasonably, for you and your loved ones.

“If one advances confidently in the direction of his dreams, and endeavors to live the life he has imagined, he will meet with a success unexpected in common hours.”

Happiness will be found in the doing, the movement toward your goal.

Success will never leave you if this is how you live.
